Our Key Team Members

RJM Semiconductor, L.L.C. develops advanced technologies and solutions for materials growth and device processing used in the compound semiconductor and vacuum deposition industries.

RJM Semiconductor has worked with government agencies, industry, and universities based upon our expertise in Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) growth, semiconductor device development, and vacuum deposition equipment. Our founder, Dr. Roger J. Malik, has pioneered many compound semiconductor technologies during his 30+ year career in the field.

RJM Semiconductor is currently inserting its new patent-pending InfinitiCell technology for metal deposition into emerging high growth markets including Cu(In,Ga)Se2 thin film Solar Cells, Li Ion Batteries, and MBE wafer growth to provide the lowest manufacturing costs in the industry.

Milestones and Key Accomplishments:

• RJM Semiconductor formed in 1999 to develop manufacturing technologies based upon vacuum deposition methods established at Bell Labs and Army Research Labs.

• Founder is a recognized leader in Compound Semiconductor Materials Growth and Device Development.

• RJM Semiconductor has received government SBIR contract support ($2M).

• RJM Semiconductor introduced new InfinitiCell metal evaporator to Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) market in 2006 and in 2007 supplied InfinityCell Evaporators to the solar cell industry.

• Sales to leading MBE wafer manufacturer used in cell phone amplifier and laser production.

• RJM Semiconductor InfinitiCell will be applied to next-generation thin film CuInGaSe2 (CIGS) solar cell production - Strategic alliance established and in place. Including funding, exclusive relationship, and commitment.

• Technology will lead to near term revenues and support of large scale, high yield manufacturing processes.

• Technology has growth paths in other related solar cell markets (commercial, residential, military) and Li Ion Battery production (cell phones, power storage, electric vehicles).

Roger J. Malik, Ph.D.

President & CEO, RJM Semiconductor, L.L.C.

Dr. Roger J. Malik is a world-renowned expert in Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) growth of compound semiconductor devices including Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors (HBTs), High Electron Mobility Transistors (HEMTs), quantum well lasers and photodetectors, microwave diodes. Dr. Malik also used the same technology to pioneer the use of Carbon doping in GaAs.
