Research and Development
RJM Semiconductor provides advanced technologies to government agencies, industry, and universities.
Some of our recent contract work includes:
- Development of 300GHz cut-off frequency InP Double Heterojunction Bipolar Transistors (DHBTs) for millimeter-wave amplifiers performed in collaboration with NASA JPL
- High power Buried Heterostructure Quantum Cascade Lasers (BH-QCLs) in collaboration with Bell Labs, University of Connecticut, and Multiplex which has potential applications in spectroscopic gas sensing and infrared countermeasures
- RJM Semiconductor is currently developing advanced concepts for vacuum deposition of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) thin films that could lead to high volume, low cost manufacturing of large area solar cell modules.

Software Development
RJM Semiconductor can offer your company or agency specialized software development platform for better process simulation, control that could lower your R&D and operating costs, and reduce time to market for your product development cycle.
Some of our recent contract work includes:
- Development of a program for flux simulation for solar cell production

Engineering
RJM Semiconductor can also help you develop and engineer MBE, MOCVD, and other Ultra-High Vacuum systems. Using latest 3D solid modeling technology, we can help you bring your conceptual ideas to a real life product. By taking responsibility for generating assemblies, bills of material, and manufacturing drawings we can greatly reduce your engineering time.
In addition to assemblies and manufacturing drawings, we can also provide Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of critical components and assemblies.
